Curtain Pullbacks: Have you ever seen the of those things?! The lowest priced I will find in local stores is $10/pair, and it's really seriously just an ugly little bit of bent metal. Oh, you'll need a cool jewel or coil to travel by the end? Well, which is another $10! That of a racket! This how-to shows you how to create curtain pull backs for pennies around the dollar.
Follow these super easy steps and find out how yours ends up!
Materials
Needle nose pliers Heavy gauge wire (we used wirehangers that individuals grabbed at a yard sale in big amounts) Beads for decoration (that is optional, depending on our your lifestyle and what we have available) Washers (for installation) Screws (for installation)
Steps
You will require enough wire per panel. In the event you used the wire hanger idea, you will need one wire per window panel
1. Cut the straight part of the hanger, or if you're not using hangers, you will have to cut a minimum of 10 inches of wire. You'll be able to clip off extra later, trust me, it's preferable to have an overabundance than less!
2. Bend the cut rods in a U shape *When generating the first bends, using somethings that shares much the same desired shape is helpful. I used paint cans to wrap the wire around to help you create and observe after the shape. You have to recognize that the heavier the gauge (or thickness of the wire) the more difficult it is to do business with.
3. While using needle nose pliers, bend one end straight up with a 90 degree right angle to set decorative beads or charms on later (you can even coil it if you know how)
4. While using needle nose pliers, clamp the other end using the pliers, then wrap the complete wire around once to produce a loop which includes two circles (this is the way you will attach it for the wall
5. Now that things are all bent fit, add the decorative beading, or coil, or other design. Make certain you crimp, glue, or elsewhere secure the beads, or they'll go everywhere!
6. Put on the wall with washers and screws. Squeeze pull out against the wall (way sure it is facing the right way or maybe it certainly can't work correctly, for whatever reason this became the worst for me personally!), then this washers, then screw it all in to the wall. (if you do not such as the look of plain washers, it's possible to, paint, decoupage, etc. the washers).
7. Enjoy your awesome handiwork!
