Question: I ordered a wedding dress of line. I had already been to a wedding dress shop, tried on the one and the size I needed. I ordered a standard size. When I received it is about 2 or 3 sizes too big! Now in order for me to return it for a refund they want me to send pictures with the dress and a measuring chart? I have no idea how to do that or what to do?? On the website before I even ordered the dress it said simply if you are not happy with the workmanship you may return it for a refund but now they want pictures!
I figure it will be impossible to find on the designer site (I already looked) to purchase since it's from a past season, but I wouldn't be bothered to buy it from a former bride, and I wouldn't mind buying a replica, depending on how close it could be to the original. (Now, don't start in on how replicas use cheaper fabric and lesser quality, because for some people, that may be true, but I'm not a fabric snob, so it would not bother me).
I would love to hear feedback on this dress. I am going to have family as well as friends at my wedding including parents, grandparents, aunts and cousins, and while none of us are a TRADITIONAL or conservative bunch, I definitely don't want to offend anyone. In my opinion, if I can wear a bathing suit in front of these people without offending them, this dress should be acceptable. Am I wrong to assume that? I realize a wedding is no place for a bathing suit/bikini, but on any other occasion I would wear this, should I worry about crossing a line BECAUSE of the occasion, or is it acceptable like I am thinking?
I think the gifts you have gotten for them already are very nice and not over the top. Nor are they not enough. If you feel as though you need to do more, then I would say do something heartfelt, like a picture with you and each of your bridesmaids, have it frames with a matted and on the matter, add a nice poem or a quote that describes your relationship with that person. This should not cost too much money.
But if you want to do something a litter extra getting a hairstylist and makeup artist to come morning of the wedding, to your suite, is always a lot of fun. You know provide some fruit and verge trays, make it a very relaxing morning for you and your maids. And then everyone can just get dressed together. I have done this 4 times in 2 years and it always seems to work out GREAT!
