Some Useful Tips about How to Plan the Wedding

By Miracle Pan

I went to a bridal salon and tried on a lot of dresses there... The sky was the limit... And it was very pricey... The bridal consultant knew my budget, but yet showed me a dress for more than double my budget... And I fell in love with it... I ended up finding it online at www.bestbridalprices.com for half the cost he was selling it for... So, be sure to do your research.

Later, I went to David's Bridal... I didn't care for my bridal consultant, but one of the managers was one of the sweetest girls I have ever met... And I found "the one" at a very reasonable price... My dress came in 2 months later... I haven't done alterations yet, b/c it's still awhile away.... I will probably bring my dress back 6-8 months prior to the wedding. Just to be on the safe side.

Wedding dress can run anywhere's from $99 David's Bridal have to thousands and thousands. It probably is cheaper to go to David's Bridal however I would suggest with all the experiences I have had with them in the past not to. I find there dress is reasonable price but I would rather pay a little more to have a better quality and better help that I received there. I did not buy my dress there but got the bridesmaids dresses there and it was a very big hassle. I did make an appointment and everything just didn't get the help I expected. In fact, my flower girl dress was picked out w/a sash the lady fitted her and everything knowing my color.

You can go to the bridal shop web sites and see what they have and if you like them. I would start shopping about 9-12 months prior to the wedding. Dresses can take up to 4 months to come in and then alterations have to be done. I would go to Maggiesottero.com and look at her dresses. I love her lines and ball gowns. They run $600-1500 usually and a little more for silk.

I have seen ball gown or a-line at a local place from 300-1200. The local salon I went through uses Essence of Australia, Casablanca, and many more if you want to see just a few different kinds in that price range. My dress is suppose to take about 4-6 months due to custom length (since I'm short) ordered that with the company so less I have to do when it comes in. The dress will be redone to the length I need it for all the details to be brought to smaller scale. I would recommend at least 6 months before just in case.
