Interesting Adventure Books For Summer Reading

Do you know about "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". It is one of the most famous adventure books in the market. It is a book authored by J. K. Rowling and Mary Grandpre. Harry Potter, an 11-year old boy is seen as the hero.

Among other pirate stories that are written in English, "Treasure Island" appears to be one of the most successful. Characters in "Treasure Island" include Jim Hawkins, Captain Smollett, Squire Trelawney and Ben Gunn. Lessons in the book include the following: teaching people about friendship and helping people appreciate courage and honor.

Another one is the "Adventures of Huckleberry". The authors of this book are Mark Twain and Guy Cardwell. Mark Twain, in this book narrates an adventure in the Mississippi Valley. Many people who come across this one have a lot of positive remarks about it. No wonder it has a high vote for becoming the great American novel.

If you have not read the Goldman's book titled "The Princess Bride". You are encouraged to go for a copy now especially if you are young and preparing to get married. The princess was disappointed that the handsome prince she got married to was not actually what she wanted in a man. It talks about true love. It is a perfect gift for every young man and woman.

Riordan's "Last Olympian" is another good one. It is a story of the battle between the Titans and the half-bloods. Krono's array, the Monster Typhon and the Titan's power are some of the things you will come across in the book.

There are other adventure books like "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". This one was authored by C. S Lewis. He uses characters like Peter, Susan, Lucy and Edmund to show some adventurous acts. The adventures of Peter, Susan, Lucy and Edmund began after they went to the magic wardrobe. Most Narnia fans would love this one because of its excellent quality.
