The Answers To Why Gel Polish Is Preferred Over Old Fashioned Nail Lacquer

By Frederick D. Bernal

Over the years females from all around the world and members of various culture have polished their toenails and fingernails to add color and shine through the use of nail lacquer. Manufacturers of these products were encouraged to advance the appearance and performance of their products in addition to increasing the safety of using the products as things were discovered through the development of society and emerging technologies.

The extremely popular original nail lacquer often contained harmful ingredients that concern people today who are demanding products that are safer to use. Studies detailed that some of these chemicals contained in the lacquers where known to cause cancer, asthma and skin problems. It was discovered that some of the harmful chemicals that were hazardous ingredients in these products were capable of causing birth defects, miscarriages and could harm fetuses and were linked to causing headaches, dizziness and nausea as well as short-term memory loss.

Manufacturers of quality beauty products became concerned and stepped forward to take responsibility to make sure their products were safe to use and safe for the environment additionally. The safety and health of not only the consumers, but also the professionals who worked with these products on a daily basis was of concern for exposure to the harmful chemicals and fumes that nail lacquer possessed previously. Findings show that when these products are tossed into the trash more than your health is at risk. These harmful chemicals can cause damage to animals and nature in addition to humans when the toxicity leaks into the soil and groundwater .

Several years ago society became more conscious of this endangerment and established regulations applying to disposal of hazardous material including rules that stopped you from throwing partially used cans of household paint into your normal trash. Which makes us think that the nail lacquer that we add to our finger and toenails to embellish them also poses a risk much like pesticides and battery acid that can cause harm to the environment. There should most certainly be regulations for the disposal of nail products that are known to contain chemicals that are human carcinogens and classified as noxious ingredients.

That in itself should prevent you from applying that toxic product to your nails, where it could likely cause those chemicals to be absorbed into your body through the bed of your nail. Or disposing of those little bottles of nasty chemicals in the trash where they can wind up who knows where and contaminate a whole lot more.
